Every engagement begins the same way: with a careful reading of what the client has actually asked for, alongside a deliberate inquiry into what the client may not yet have articulated.
That distinction matters. The presenting question is rarely the operative one, and a thoughtful discovery phase is the only reliable means of locating the difference.
What follows is a written framing — a short memorandum, generally — that the firm uses as the basis for the engagement to come.
